Cyprus - The new golf destination
Cyprus is fast becoming the next major destination of choice on the international golfing scene. The small number of excellent courses already here already attract the discerning player. With an average of 340 days of sunshine a year, it's hardly surprising this is genuinely a year-round sport for the casual visitor and permanent resident alike.
Existing Cyprus golf courses such as the Secret Valley Golf and Country Club, Tsada and Aphrodite Hills in the Paphos region have already stimulated a great deal of attention amongst overseas property buyers who have recognised the convenience and investment potential of owning apartments and villas within easy striking distance of the courses. Paphos International Airport is only a short drive away.
Year-on-year capital returns of between 15% and 20% for the last 5 years are typical for investors who made the decision to buy when the concept of a 'golf property' in Cyprus was a novel idea. With applications submitted for eleven new courses, the rewards from property investment are waiting to be reaped!
Check our Investor Packages for details of exclusive off-plan golf property developments.
One of the new courses, which will finally take golf in Cyprus beyond the Paphos region is the Larnaca Golf and Country Club at the village of Tersefanou. This stunning championship standard course is set to become the jewel in the crown of the many infrastructure improvements being made in the Larnaca region, including the major expansion of Larnaca International Airport scheduled for November 2009
Look for the 'G' symbol on our Property pages for developments that are close to existing and planned golf courses.
