Preliminiary CySTAT Results October 2011 now Published

These Results are relating to Housing & Population in Cyprus.
Population - This is at 838,897 which is a 21.7% increase since the last census in 2001. Nicosia has the lowest growth with Paphos the highest.
Foreigners in Cyprus has grown from 1 in 10 to 1 in 5 since 2001. Greece has the majority with UK, Romaina and Bulgaria behind. Nicosia has the lowest non-cypriots at 18.9% and Paphos has the highest non-cypriots at 34.9% of the areas population.
Cyprus Property - Over the last 10 years the number of units in Cyprus has increased by 47.2% to 432,736.
Paphos Properties have increased by 88% over the last ten years with Famagusta Properties close behind on 79.5% which could indicate these growth areas are popular especially Famagusta for its award winning Blue Flag Beaches.
The Number of vacant/secondary housing units in Paphos and Famagusta exceeds the number of occupied units which could show Investment and Holiday Home Properties in both areas for Foreigners and Cypriots.
